… on the in-just-ice of ‘just’

February 13, 2016 by Lisa Dingle

I wrote this the day after the Big Game, publishing it on my blog (Just Ponderin’).  Mr. Mastrullo re-published it in a newsletter shortly afterward, but I was asked to put it here as well. :)) Dear Team, Aw man, I know it stings. There are a million things that people like me, old people, will say to you. You played your hearts out. Making it this far was amazing. You left everything on the field. You should be proud. And, of […]

gd vs. lincoln-sudbury (state championship)

February 13, 2016 by Lisa Dingle

Amazing. Exciting. Unbelievable… but It happened. You made it to the State Championship Game. Division One. First time in Groton-Dunstable history. In any sport. Ever. The game could have gone either way. It was awesome.  You were awesome. Thank you, boys. For all your time. For all your work. For being a team we could all be so proud of.

GD vs. Longmeadow

Clap. Clap. Clap. Clap… Clap… Clap.. Clap.. Clap.. Clap.. Clap. Clap. Clap. ClapClapClap! “ON TWO!” “ONE TWO!” So that happened. And then… this happened: And then… this happened: Oh, ya… and then this: And that’s all. What? Oh… well I guess if you really want to follow it through to the end… This happened:

A Night in the Life of A Certain Trophy

November 17, 2015 by Lisa Dingle

Last night, A Certain Trophy (also known as A.C. Trophy) caught a ride home with Gabe and hung at the Dingle Household. Even with so many people in the world wanting to be near him, to polish him, to see him on their mantles and in their trophy cases, A.C. was a pretty undemanding guest. Nice to see that he doesn’t have a big head over being in such demand. He did what any self-respecting trophy would do. He and […]

GD vs. Algonquin 11/11/15

November 15, 2015 by Lisa Dingle

I don’t even know what to say. HA! That’s a lie! Me?! Speechless?! Nah. But remember I told you that the more nervous I am, the more photos I take? 1047 photos were snapped during this game – but zero… ZERO of the last goal. I think I was catatonic…. for about four hours afterward. Well done boys. We are now onto the first Central Mass District Championship Game in Groton-Dunstable history! You got that right? You. Made. History. Here’s […]

GD vs. Doherty 11/6/15

November 7, 2015 by Lisa Dingle

It started out with the traditional playoff hugs…. And then a WIN! What more can be said? Superlatives belong to every single member of the team in playoffs, no matter how funny a photo I get. Okay but this picture of Drew is pretty dang funny because I can’t tell if the Doherty player is punting the ball or Drew… But that’s it (and you played a GREAT game Drew!) Here are your pics (and congratulations all!)

GD vs. North Middlesex 10/29/15

November 6, 2015 by Lisa Dingle

Okay, I have to say that when they scored their first goal I was all, “Wait a sec! You boys were supposed to deliver me a chill game where I was not at all concerned on the sidelines!” But then I realized that you were being very generous and carefully preparing me for playoffs, and I totally appreciate that. Great win! Great play! Great…. strange person with long blonde hair on the sidelines. Which leads me to my superlative… Best […]

GD vs. Hudson 10/27/15

November 4, 2015 by Lisa Dingle

Hudson baby! But more importantly… SENIOR NIGHT BABY! It is a long-standing tradition for the Junior Parents to put on Senior Night, in honor of the graduating Seniors and their parents. This year the Junior Parents rocked it!  They organized, they decorated, there helped and supported the Senior parents and created memories :)) First, here are the pics of the seniors, who were called out, one by one, to pose with the folks who played kind of an important role […]
